a looming depression.
the news is tremendous.
i can't change the station.
trust in me, i'll close your eyes.

-the murder. the purpose.
the young and the worthless.
the future denial.
why am i on trial?
true wisdom comes when you are blind.

giants kneel. fall on me.
sanctify my tv.
and i'm video blind and i can't close my eyes.

-departure. progression.
a whole new dimension of pain and rebellion.
of anger and tension.
she who holds the scales can't see the light.

-distraction. derision.
the loss of our vision.
our fathers have failed us.
our freedom derailed us.
we've lost our sense of wrong and right.

-our failures exhausting.
tomorrow a menace.
our promises burdens.
the children within us
who never asked to be born free.

-our global disaster.
our science too clever.
our luxuries poison
for now and forever.
i never wanted them to see.
