there's something that i needed to do.
after i got done with you.
i can't recall, but i'm passing through
a pit i should have fallen into.
there's somewhere that i needed to go.
at least my seventh sense tells me so
the location i do not know
and now my destiny is unknown.

i told you.
beautiful things are like forgotten memories.
the scent of happiness like tragic subtleties.
and what i love i hold like yesterday's debris.
there is a hole in me.

there's someone that i needed to call.
just so i could erase it all.
a mighty rise and a humbling fall
but now i can no longer recall.
there's something that i promised i'd say
right after you went away
i know i thought it through yesterday
but now it's faded into the haze.

it's holding me.

there's someone that i wanted to be
i know somehow that it should be me
but now i've swallowed my memory
and laid the way for misery.
there's someone that i needed to kill.
and i know i can achieve it still
if i muster my grace and will
so at least one task gets fulfilled.
